Fall Flights for Netherlands cycling tour

Hi.
I am planning a bicycling tour of the Netherlands for the fall of 2009. The idea is to rent a bike in Amsterdam and then circle around the region from town to town in a big loop. Anyway, I am trying to find cheap flights Sept. and on…though keeping the travel dates as close to early september would be best since weather will be a major issue if I leave much later.

I’m open to flying into Paris (and spending a few days there) or London and taking a train or other cheap airline to get to Amsterdam but I’m not really finding any great deals.

Mini Eurotrip 08

Hello,

I am planning a trip with my husband and another couple to Europe in December. We are currently spending from Dec 10th-15th in the UK visiting family and friends, and doing some sightseeing/enjoying the nightlife in London, Birmingham, and Leicester. Everything is booked and ready to go for the UK, as I have been there before, thus know where to go and what to do!

Our next stop is booked to Paris, France. We are going to be in Paris from the 15th-20th…
I need help planning day activities( we’ve looked into a lot of sightseeing such as the Mona Lisa, Eiffel Tower…

1st time traveling to Europe. Advise plz.

Hello All:

I am planning a short vacation trip to Europe starting 17th Dec to 30th Dec. I want to start from Prague on the 17th and cover Amsterdam, Paris and Florence. I plan to return back to Prague on 30th. Am I trying to cover a lot of places in 13 days ? For most of the time, I plan to take train and hence assuming a total of 3 days train travel, I just get 3 days per city on an average.

I am also not sure if Dec is the right time to see the places mentioned above.
If you could suggest some good places which could be covered and enjoyed in december, that

Train from Prague to Amsterdam?

hi there

I am travelling to prague next week and will be there for a week before I have to go to amsterdam. I have been searching the web and cannot seem to find any way to purchase a city to city train fare. I know that I cannot travel direct ( have to go through germany with at least one change) but cant find anywhere to book. The one place I found it was £200! any suggestions? Am I better to get a ticket from prague when i get there?

Thanks Smile

1 Month in Europe (Oct 2008)

It has been a bit of a whirlwind in regards to what trip I am going to do this fall. I was originally planning on hitting just Croatia, but now my trip has been extended giving me enough time to do a real tour of Europe.

This is the path I was planning on taking. I am going to be there for about 4 weeks (maybe 5 weeks if I need to).

Quick overview:
Amsterdam (2 days)
Brugge (2 days)
Baden-Baden (1 or 2 days)
Munich (3 days)
Salzburg (1 day)
Venice (2 days)
Rome (2 days)
Florence (2 days)
Nice (or there abouts) (2 days)

Dublin to amsterdam

I am traveling through Europe her soon. I found that the cheapest flights from America to Dublin. I am going to bu a Eurail pass also. So my question is if I fly to Dublin, then stay for a couple days, how to I get to a city such as Amsterdam? I saw that the train is in Ireland but, do I need to pay extra to take a ferry to the closest city on the mainland that has the Eurail? How much would that cost?
