Hi,

Im planning to work and travel from late december 2008 to june 2009 (maximum).

I cant decide between France and UK+Ireland

From your experience, which Trip would you recommend (considering the time of year, amount of money I have to spend etc.), where would it be more likely to get a job (very simple work and travel jobs), which country(ies) is more appropriate for work and travel/backpacking in general?

I understand english quite well, but I would want to improve my speaking.

My french isnt so good in general – how possible is it for me to get a job then?

Hey i am starting to plan my big OE as part of my 21st birthday present
i will be departing from new zealand and i have no time limits and would like to see as much of europe and the uk as i can.
i am thinking of backpacking around and also getting a bit of work here and there.
if anyone has any tips or ideas for me that would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on attending the University of Aberdeen but I wanted to take a hard look at the rest of Scotland before I make my final descision. I am planning on studying abroad for a semester to a full school year in Scotland and I’m having trouble finding a ligitimate foundation to help send me there. I’m also curious about what it will be like and such. Any insite at all, how ever irrelivant will still be interesting to me. Thanks so much!!

2 friends and I are planning about a 2 month backpacking trip around Europe for May-Julyish. Our list of countries we’re going to is as follows:

England, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain and France. Ireland and Scotland are also a possibility if time permits to go between England and Netherlands, if we did so we wouldn’t dedicate quite as much time to those as the other countries on our list.

We anticipate starting in London, England and working our way around in a circle from there and ending up in Paris, France. The cities we have decided we absolutely must go to are:
