Backpacking Itinerary (Eurail)

I am planning a backpacking trip in Europe and I am going to buy the Global Pass…I am planning to only visit the capital cities of about 15 countries and I was wondering if it would be possible to visit a different city each day??? I was hoping to cover 15 countries in 15 days…is this impossible?

Well, you’ll average at least 5 hours a day on the train….
I suppose it’s possible, but why? You won’t remember a thing. Even the most whirlwind of packaged tours — where you see everything from a moving bus window — only cover 7 countries in 15 days. Most people say “never again” after a trip like that.
thanks for the advice…i was just hoping to experience as many cities as possible (and i won’t have very much time to do it)...maybe i’ll go for the 20 day pass and try and narrow down the countries
hey cleeman I was planning a trip similar but not as extreme more like 9 cities in 17 days! We kinda figured you would either have to drive a car(expensive) or fly from city to city. Even then the trip would not be enjoyable because you are always on the move!
Me and my buddy just figured out what we really wanted to see and how long it would take and narrowed our trip down so that we would travel hard for a couple days and rest in one place for a bit! Old Lady is right by the end of your trip you will be all tired and un satisfied and thats no way to come back from a vacation is it!!!! Hope that helps we were in the same predicament(spelling)!

Yeah everyone it seems usually comes up with something like this at some point (I know I did.) In the end though, your trip is way more enjoyable if you just spend more time in fewer places. Hell, I had to reign in my friend (much to his dismay) when we were in Denmark because he wanted to go to Malmö basically just to say he’d been there. He knew nothing about the place, other than the fact that it was in Sweden. I tried to explain to him why it was such a stupid idea (among other things, that southern Sweden and Denmark aren’t all that different…. considering they were basically the same country for so long…. not to mention he’d have to change money, BLOW money just getting there, and they’d look exactly the same [to him]... but I digress). Luckily I think he just vented by reading comic books whilst I went out and walked around the next few cities… you know… seeing Europe
But yeah, trust me, when travelling around Europe… less is more!
i was starting to have the same feeling – quality over quantity. thanks for that!
thats waaaaaay to many…

unless of course you plan on indefinitely getting lost and not ever making it back home
which i regret not doing
give yourself at least 3-4 days in each place to somewhat enjoy it
plus theres always a second time!
when are you gonna be in europe ? im gonna go in oct
