I heard from a friend who was doing a bunch of research before he went traveling that Bill Bryson was a pretty good travel writer and that his book Neither Here Nor There: Travels in Europe was a good read. Has anyone else ready this book? How is it?

Haven’t read that one, but read A Walk in the Woods and A Sunburnt Country, both very good reads.

Never heard of Bryson or his books but Neither Here Nor There sounds like a good read. I may check to see if my local library can get a copy. Having been released in ’91 I wonder how dated it is. Only one way to find out….

Bryson is one of my favorite travel writers. I’ve read all of his books and each one is better than the last. Very detailed, poignant, and extremely witty.
