Hello everyone. I just returned from a 2 month “walk about” in Europe that took me through 10 countries and 40ish cities. It was my first trip to Europe ever, and I learned quite abit about this kind of travel. I was originally going to use a backpack, but took a suitcase instead.

I stayed in Youth Hostels, although I am 68 years old, used a Eurail pass, took out medical insurance and has an “idea” where I was going. Although I didn’t make reservations anywhere until the day before my arrival in a city.
