Does anyone have suggestions where to find cheap tickets for a roundtrip flight from LAX to TXL (Berlin) from July 1st till July 25th or the 26th?  I don’t want to pay over $1350… I have found some flights on Kayak.com that say $1250 but when I try and book them they say that they are no longer available.

I don’t mind layovers and I don’t care which airline I use.

Thanks in advance…
Bobbymac

I live in Burbank, CA and I don’t mind driving up to 4 hours for a cheap flight.  I have tried looking at Vegas flights to Berlin… but they are about equal in price.

Where else have you checked in addition to Kayak (so we do not repeat efforts)? Have you tried other airports in Germany or Europe—with the idea of taking a cheap flight hop to Berlin with another airline?

If you could depart at 7:10pm June 30, I see LAX-FRA at $1035rt total nonstop flights with Air India.

$883 to Dublin and back from Stansted. Could use www.ryanair.com from there

So far I am looking at a flight out of Chicago to Berlin for $894.  I can fly from Los Angeles to Chicago for $248 roundtrip.  So total I am looking at approximately $1142.00.  I will give that site a try as well.

Thank you!

You can fly roundtrip from LAX-FRA for $1058, on Air India.

You can prepurchase train tickets from www.bahn.de to get to Berlin – for as low as 29 Euros each way.

But whether you choose this option, or the Chicago option, keep in mind that you have to expect delays, so allow plenty of buffer time between any nonrefundable options.

Edit: Oops – Don already pointed out the FRA option.

Berlin is always a bit tough during HIGH SEASON – especially from the U.S. West Coast airports.  You might try to see if you can get something much cheaper from LAX to Frankfurt(FRA), then take the train…  A sleeper car train on the return jaunt (Berlin to FRA) would also save you a hotel for the final night, etc.
