PEOPLE like to travel to spain because the weather is very temperate there. It is just about 18 degrees Celsius there during summer and the temperature doesn’t get lower than -3 degrees Celsius even during the peak of winter in January. However, to maximize your enjoyment here, you must hire a travel guide in Spain. Large online travel agencies such as Expedia and Travelocity have local contacts in Spain and travel guides as well as travel tours are already in the package. There are two kinds of travel tours – prearranged for amateurs or customized for seasoned visitors. Have a good one here!

Funny how it was 45 degrees celsius in Barcelona last summer when I was there…......and almost 50 in Seville!!!!
Julian,
Spain has a Mediterranean climate. It gets much hotter than 18 C in the summer. Of course, 50 is excessive (sounds like our friend nomad experienced a heat wave). You should generally expect daytime highs at around 30-40 during the peak of summer. Mediterranean climate means = no humidity, so it doesn’t swelter like Florida. Temperatures pleasantly dip at night; but they do climb high at mid-day.
Portugal (as well as northwest Spain) has milder temperatures than the rest of Southern Europe because of Atlantic currents, but even here, summer midday highs reach significantly above 18 C.
